Chicken Bacon Alfredo Pizza
This chicken bacon alfredo pizza is one of my favorite recipes that I have come up with on my own. Who loves a good white sauce pizza? I have always been a fan of white sauce more than red. A lot of garlic is always a must in my white sauce. I have never been a huge fan of Alfredo sauce from the jar so a homemade sauce is also a must for me. Luckily I have found the easiest homemade sauce that is incredibly low fat and has only a few ingredients. You can use any kind of bacon on this recipe. I prefer turkey bacon to lower the fat and up the protein a bit. I am always looking for ways to make my recipes a bit more macro friendly. (You can learn more about macros right here.)
This chicken bacon alfredo pizza is so flavorful with simple ingredients. I love making pizza at home because it is so easy to customize to everybody’s preferences. My kids don’t love this recipe as much so I can make their slices the way they want and then use this recipe for mine. I have heard that roasting the red peppers first takes the flavor to a whole new level but I haven’t tried it yet.
Here is what you will need:
– your favorite pizza dough (mine is here)
– your favorite alfredo sauce (mine is here)
– 1 pound of cooked shredded chicken (I put 2 oz. per slice on mine)
– 4 slices turkey bacon (or any kind) (I use 1 slice of bacon for 2 slices of pizza)
-1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
-chopped red peppers
– green onions
– parmesan cheese
Top favorite pizza dough with sauce, chicken, bacon, red peppers, and parmesan cheese. Bake til cooked (if using my dough recipe, its 10 minutes). Garnish with green onions.
If you use my sauce recipe, it is enough for about 2 pieces of pizza so plan accordingly.
You can also add more mozzarella cheese or whatever you desire but note the calories and fat grams will go up.
